Commissioned by the City of Tukwila to brighten and activate the space inside and out of Tukwila Library. The images also celebrate the World Cup, but especially focuses on children, family, and community.

City of Burien Mural 2026

“Pachamama and the Land Workers.”

I use hair as a symbol of thought, so the workers traversing her flowing hair are in the mind of Pachamama. Below, in the body of Mother Earth are the farmers and animals who live in the Andes. Different scenes on the skirt of Pachamama are separated by lilies of Peru. Night and Day are represented in Pachamama as she is not only the goddess of the Earth, but of space and time, all in one, and all part of one greater cycle. In Quechua, this is called the Ayllu.

Phinney Utility Box Art 2025 – “Floating Islands”

The islands represent ideas and dreams of PhinneyWood connected by ephemeral or ethereal bridges. Among the clouds of our minds, there are shared places we may visit when we think of our neighborhood. The piece also has hidden “easter eggs” in the form of local PNW animals.

FLOW – WISDOM & EMPOWERMENT

Commissioned by the City of Seattle Office of Arts and Culture

Women of color each have different lived experiences that inform
their actions, perceptions, and contributions to the world.
This artwork intends to capture the wisdom gained from
the experiences that female professionals, artists, and activists
from around the world used to make their communities a better
place. Combining quotes with diverse portraits of ordinary women,
I aim to create a holistic, yet peaceful visualization of the fight
against oppression across the planet, and highlight the names,
titles, personal histories, and heritages of these wise women.
The depictions of women in the artwork are not portraits of those
quoted.

INTI KILLA

The piece represents the importance of balance in Andean cosmology. Killa and Inti, the Moon and Sun are joined together above the earth, providing domain over the day and night. The Chakana, a symbol of symmetry with many meanings indicating the balance between humans, nature, the cosmos, and the earth, linger on either side of the sun and moon.

Kent Utility Box Art 2023 – “Kent Valley Dream”

Location: Meeker Street & Central Ave S., Kent, WA

This is a utility box vinyl wrap that was commissioned by the City of Kent. It features two scenes that encompass the entire box, featuring whimsical imagery in the day and night. I often use hair as an expression of thoughts or dreams, so in being separated by the dreamer’s hair, both visions of a bright existence in Kent are experienced at once.

I really enjoyed the concept of previous box art from 2022, and so I created a much more abstract image that further unites not only the joy and beauty of diverse skin colors with varieties of blooming flowers, but also that same unity with familiar sights of Pacific Northwest mountains and forests.

For this project, I chose to embrace the local ecosystem, focusing on the abundant creature that is our Rainbow Trout, as well as the namesake of Tukwila itself, the Chinook Jargon term for the Hazelnut tree. I blend the aspects of floating in the air with swimming through water to create a brighter image, and to add a dream-like feeling to it. The trout have riders that include the diverse community of the City of Tukwila, enjoying their mounted ride through the air in both night and day on creatures that likewise reflect diverse colors.

Des Moines Utility Box Art 2022 – “Octopus”

Location: 22820 Pacific Hwy S Des Moines, WA 98198

This piece is meant to bring out the spirit of the waterfront by showing us the dreamy and alien essence of the sea. A Pacific Giant Octopus swims through the air with sprawling arms, surrounded by jellyfish and sea stars. The air around them is cloudy, but the presence of sea creatures reminds us of deep waters. The blend of the nature of air and water sustains that dreamy sense, reminding passersby of how close, yet far away, the sea and its creatures are.

Cal Anderson Park Mural – 4′ x 5′ – 2020

Commissioned for Seattle Parks and Recreation

This mobile mural was made for community interaction in Cal Anderson Park, and celebrates the memory of Cal Anderson, the first openly-gay member of the Washington State Legislature.
