Here I portray Mother Nature in a powerful position, carrying her capacity for beauty on her body, her hair flowing with the patient growth of greens and the rushing currents of water. Flowing further along her hair is the world, sculpted by her geography and tended to by her subjects. Free from any damage, trauma, or disturbance, Mother Nature rejoices, empowered by her appreciation and the gifts she gives in return–food, housing, and beauty. This is part of my heritage, as farmers in my country harvested from and lived with the land for hundreds of years without destroying it, and continue to do so.
